Curaçao at Coral Estate Oasis - 8 Days
Curaçao, Caribbean • 8 days / 7 nights (Oct 31 – Nov 7, 2026)
Overview
Some islands feel like they were made for divers, and Curaçao might be the best-kept secret of them all. With a rugged coastline, crystal-clear waters, and shore diving as good as boat diving, Curaçao is a place where dive freedom meets island culture. This isn't a standard "hop-on-the-boat" vacation — with BlueBound, you'll explore Curaçao the local way: trucks loaded with gear, expert-led shore dives, hidden reefs only insiders know about, and plenty of time to experience the food, colors, and soul of the island. This itinerary has been perfected after years of personal exploration and guiding — built for divers who want freedom, quality, comfort, and adventure, all on an island that delivers it all.
You'll stay at Coral Estate Resort, a luxury oceanfront enclave that gives you space to breathe, gear up, and unwind. Over the week, you'll visit sites like Tugboat, Playa Kalki, Porto Mari, and Watamula, with one boat day midweek for access to Curaçao's spectacular offshore reefs. And because Curaçao isn't just about diving, time is built in for exploring Willemstad, sampling nightlife, and soaking in the whole island vibe.
A typical day starts as you wake to the sound of waves against the cliffs and light streaming into your ocean-view suite. After breakfast on your private terrace, you meet your BlueBound guide at the trucks. The first dive might be Directors Bay, where a dramatic reef wall meets huge sea fans and the occasional spotted eagle ray, followed by a second dive at Tugboat, Curaçao's most iconic site, with coral-covered wreckage, schooling fish, and shallow reef making it a perfect midday adventure. After a picnic lunch on the beach or a café stop for pastries, you head back to the resort. The afternoon is yours — a sunset snorkel at Playa Lagun, a nap in the hammock, or a massage at the spa. Come evening, the group heads into Willemstad for dinner at BijBlauw, followed by cocktails at Mundo Bizarro, where live music and art line the walls, before returning to Coral Estate under a sky full of stars.
At BlueBound, the guides don't just organize trips — they lead them. Each adventure is curated for comfort, connection, and conservation, with experienced guides handling logistics, ensuring dive safety, assisting with gear, and creating a welcoming, supportive atmosphere, while partnering with local businesses that share BlueBound's values. The trip includes 7 nights in a Deluxe Oceanview Suite, daily breakfast, pickup trucks (shared by 4, picked up at the resort), 6 days of unlimited shore diving, a 2-tank boat dive at "West Punt" (depending on availability), and an afternoon/evening local guided tour in Willemstad. Not included: round-trip air to Curaçao, equipment rental, diving or travel insurance (note: DAN or other diving insurance is mandatory to participate), gas and damage waiver for the trucks (the damage waiver is $17/day, shared by 4, paid on location), any personal expenses, and tips for the divemaster, boat crew, and hotel staff (a standard tip when diving from a boat is $10 per dive — $5 for the divemaster and $5 for the captain).

Itineraries
Day 1 — Arrival in Curaçao
Welcome to Curaçao! After landing at Curaçao International Airport (CUR), the BlueBound team will greet you and help you pick up your rental truck — your diving chariot for the week. You'll head to Coral Estate Luxury Resort, where you'll settle into your Deluxe Oceanview Suite. If time permits, you'll connect with the dive shop for check-in and possibly a checkout dive — a great way to shake off travel and get familiar with local water conditions. Wrap up your evening with a cocktail at Karakter Beach Lounge and enjoy sunset views and dinner at Koraal Rooftop Terrace. Breakfast included.
Days 2–6 — Curaçao Shore Diving: The BlueBound Way
This isn't your average dive trip. The Curaçao dive experience has been fine-tuned to perfection — combining shore diving from trucks, insider local access, and expert guidance from trusted BlueBound dive leaders. Each morning starts with a hearty breakfast before hitting the road to handpicked dive sites, both iconic and hidden gems. Sites explored include Alice in Wonderland (house reef magic just steps away), Playa Kalki — "Alice's little cousin" (healthy coral and playful currents), Tugboat (Curaçao's most famous wreck, teeming with life), Directors Bay (dramatic drop-offs and vibrant fans), and Playa Porto Mari (double reef system and beach charm).
One day mid-week, the truck is traded for the boat to explore Curaçao's offshore sites during a 2-tank boat dive. Sites like Watamula or Mushroom Forest offer spectacular coral formations, swim-throughs, and deeper marine life encounters.
There's also a break from diving one afternoon for a guided tour of colorful Willemstad — from the Queen Emma Bridge to the floating market and street art alleys, this cultural outing is a Curaçao must, wrapped up with dinner and drinks in town for those who want to soak in the local vibe.
After diving, Curaçao shines with its culinary scene and chill nightlife. Favorite evening spots include The Governor (elegant dining with harbor views in Willemstad), BijBlauw (stylish seaside dining with island-fusion flavors), Fort Nassau (historic hilltop restaurant with panoramic views), Mundo Bizarro (artsy Latin-themed bar with live music and cocktails), Saint Tropez Ocean Club (trendy lounge and dinner spot in Pietermaai), and Zanzibar Beach & Restaurant on weekends (laid-back beach party vibes). Evenings are yours to relax, explore the resort, or join the group for optional dinners at these and other local favorites.
For non-divers, Curaçao offers so much to explore: snorkeling at Cas Abao, Playa Lagun, or Tugboat; beach hopping on the west coast; spa and wellness treatments at Coral Estate; exploring Willemstad for shopping, art, and food; and caves, hikes, and cultural excursions available by request. Breakfast included.
Day 7 — Final Shore Dives & Farewell Dinner
Sleep in or get in a couple more shallow shore dives — there's no pressure today. It's a flexible day for those who want to squeeze in some final bubbles or just enjoy Curaçao's beaches and sunshine. In the evening, the group gathers for a farewell dinner — either back at Karakter or at one of the favorite seaside spots — celebrating new friendships and unforgettable dives. Breakfast included.
Day 8 — Departure Day
Enjoy your final breakfast overlooking the sea. Return your truck and head to the airport with sun-kissed skin, full hearts, and epic stories. Until next time — Curaçao won't soon forget you. Breakfast included.

Travelers' Reviews
This was my first scuba diving trip and….WOW! The trip was organized and well planned. All the details were taken care of, so I really felt comfortable focusing on the diving. Interacting with an incredible group of people at the pool in the evenings was an unexpected bonus. I would highly recommend a BlueBound dive trip and I’m excited for my own future BlueBound dive trip!
This was an exciting and well organized dive trip. Communication was great, the diving experience was excellent, and we always felt that our best interests and safety were a priority.
Another amazing trip with amazing people! I trust them with all of the details of each trip and with the safety of my loved ones. I just finished my 7th dive trip with them and I will never travel with another dive group!!!
Palau was always our drea and this trip made it real. Everything was planned good so we didn’t worry about anything. The dives were amazing, but also the people. We didn’t know anybody, but very fast it felt like we were with friends. We ate together, laughed together, it felt like family. This trip stayed in our heart, not only for the diving but how it made us feel.
I joined this trip on my own and was a little nervous at first, but that disappeared on day one. The group was welcoming, the diving was organized, and everything felt easy and relaxed. We dived incredible sites every day and still had time to enjoy the island. It never felt like a tour – more like a trip with friends. I’m already looking forward to the next one.
